A retail and business space incorporates new and listed buildings in Manchester’s primary conservation area.
Retaining one of the few remaining examples of the city’s early industrial evolution, this redevelopment wraps a modern structure around a 230-year-old, Grade II listed mill, warehouse and weavers’ cottages, linking them to create a viable scheme and a thriving economic hub for the area.
Adapting these historic but vacant buildings for sustainable, modern use formed the basis of our negotiations with stakeholders.
Construction was completed in 2008.
