Phil leads on some of our most complex projects, often in challenging urban and rural environments.

Phil is a chartered town planner with over 25 years’ experience. Prior to joining Indigo in 1987, he worked for two London boroughs, Kensington & Chelsea and Bromley, where he gained invaluable experience and contacts. Now, Phil oversees many of our retail, regeneration and housing schemes, UK-wide. He takes a keen interest in environmental impact assessments and all legal aspects of planning, working with clients and their legal teams. Phil has appeared at many public inquiries as expert witness and is also skilled in mediation.  His extensive experience in this area gives him an in-depth understanding of the best way to secure planning permissions and allocations.

Phil is an accomplished leader. He is an active member of the London business community,  he has been a school governor and is a long running external examiner at Kingston University. He supports various charities and hones his endurance skills by running marathons.
