We obtained permission for significant internal alterations to the Grade II listed Great Northern Hotel, in the heart of London’s King’s Cross conservation area.
This historic railway hotel lacked communal space for guests and two rooms suffered a dearth of daylight. The alterations, creating a lounge area, dormer windows and a roof terrace, ensure it maintains its competitiveness and help to secure its long term future.
We ensured, from the outset, that the proposals preserved and enhanced the character of the building, and were in keeping with council policies.
The application was approved in 2015.
